ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನವೆಂಬುದು ಒಂದು ಅನುಭವ. ಅಬ್ಬರವಲ್ಲ.ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನದಂತಹ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯೀಯ ಕಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಜೀವ ನೀಡುವುದು ಅವುಗಳ ಸಾತ್ವಿಕ, ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಶೈಲಿ.ಜಾನಪದ ಎಂಬುದು ಯಾವತ್ತೂ , ಆ ಕಲೆಯು ಪ್ರಚಲಿತವಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಜನರ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ರುಚಿಯ ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಕಲೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಚಾರಪಡಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವೆಂದು ಸಾರಿ, ಅದರ

ಈ ಕಾದಂಬರಿ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗದ ಪುಸ್ತಕಕ್ಕೆ ಇತರ ಯಾವುದೇ ಲೇಖಕರ ಮುನ್ನುಡಿ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಸ್ವತಃ ಲೇಖಕರೇ, ಅಸಡ್ಡೆಯಿಂದಲೇನೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ, ಇನ್ಯಾವುದೋ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯ ತಾಲೀಮಿಗೆಂದು ಬರೆದ ಕಥೆ ಇದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ, ನಿಮಗಿಷ್ಟವಾಗದಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಹೊಣೆ ಅಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಕೈತೊಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಂತಿದೆ. ಇದು
